Goddess Danu - represents the earth and its fruitfulness, the land and the rivers.  The most ancient of the Celtic gods, she was referred to as mother of the Irish gods. Danu is associated with strength, magic, wisdom and the powers of light and knowledge. A nurturing mother goddess, a teacher imparting wisdom, and a warrior goddess who does not give up.  She is also known as a Continental Celtic river goddess.
