Goddess Danu - represents the earth and its fruitfulness, the land and the rivers. The most ancient of the Celtic gods, she was referred to as mother of the Irish gods. Danu is associated with strength, magic, wisdom and the powers of light and knowledge. A nurturing mother goddess, a teacher imparting wisdom, and a warrior goddess who does not give up.
Here she is seen wearing a cloak featuring the Celtic Tree of Life below the symbol of the Triple Moon. Often associated with rivers, symbolising fertility and abundance, she holds a bowl filled with water that is cascading over the edges while a fish leaps forward on her right side.
